A

Where the deceased is put, usually at the home and people (friends, extended families) can come visit the home and “say goodbye” to the deceased. It is usually an open casket. Visitation can last for 2-3 days. The people will mourn over the deceased and try to comfort the family by praying.

A

The burial service will take place at the cemetery, where they will bury the deceased and put them in the last place to rest. Usually a priest will say a few words and there will be singing. Then, the deceased will be buried.

A

After a few weeks, the family of the deceased will hold a gathering/awakening for the deceased as a way of honoring and celebrating his/her life. It will be cheerful as they remember the deceased and they finally have moved on. It usually involves singing and drinking.
