Source criticism looks at the sources the synoptic writes used to write their gospels. The critics go by the Two-source theory.
Explain form criticism.
They believe a lot of what source critics believe, but they take it a step farther and look at the oral sources of the Gospel writers. According to them the church was not interested in the historic Jesus, just his teachings
When reading a harmony, one may notice that the four gospels are not in word-for-word agreement. Why is this?
The gospel writers wrote from different perspectives. They would also have had different opinions on how to translate some words Jesus said. Then sometimes we mistaken two similar events as one event.
