Q

What are the techniques used for modification and describe them?

A

Cancelation- when client stutters he/she stops, pauses, and then says entire word again slowly
Ex: i like ccccc cars…cars

Pull outs- In a block, patient gradually reduces muscular tension to free from the block.

Ex: I like cccccc cars

Prep sets- after mastering ^^^ pullouts, patient scans ahead for words he/she may stutter on and uses “easy stutter” on those words

Ex: I Like cars
