Q

Give an explanation as to why interactive content and designs are important in this culture. Also, strategize as to how a local church could use interactive designs as a part of its ministry to their community. Keep responses between 3-5 paragraphs.

A

Interactive content and designs are important in this culture because people have become more dependent on the internet and technology. The improvement of technology and it’s design is imperative.

A local church could use interactive designs as a part of its ministry to their community by media usage, professionalism, and print. Media usage can be implemented by live stream, a website, and videos. The live stream can reach shut ins and quarantined people. A website gives a sense of knowledge to the visitor and the video are a great way to make announcements.

The local church can look more professional. This is achieved through the design of the church. Print is used for physical promotions and gospel tracts.

77
Q

Describe the “mobile first” methodology of UI / UX design. Explain how this differs from a traditional approach and what advantages/disadvantages it offers. Use proper sentence and paragraph structure, with 3-5 paragraphs.

A

Mobile first is a process that a UI/UX designer follows for creating apps and websites. The ultimate goal is to design the interface starting with a smaller screen, like a mobile device, and then working up to larger screens such as computers. There are many reasons why a designer would want to do this.

Cell phones and hand held devices have become more widely used than computers and larger forms of interfaces. This is because the user has more immediate access to a cell phone rather than a computer. This means that the interfaces on smaller devices are accessed faster and with more ease.

If the UX designer creates a website starting with a smaller device format, he can focus more on the content rather than the navigation. Once the smaller format is finished he can then move on to the large version and add on any extra aspects that he could not incorporate into the mobile version. Of course with this in mind there is the possibility that starting with a mobile format of an interface could be more difficult to navigate to less important or uncommon things in the website.

78
