Explain how the medical world makes people with depression feel better without making them better verses how the Bible makes them better.
The medical world prescribes medication that reduces the symptoms of depression. This however, does not heal the source of the problem, but it acts as a band-aid to “cover it up.” This will cause dependency on the medication and eventually addiction. The Bible is the one true source that can help the depressed find sufficiency in life through Christ. Their first step is to know Jesus Christ as Savior, once that is accomplished they can take steps to know the Lord and learn of His love for the depressed individual.
