- To develop hope in the counselee that God is in the circumstance
How do I identify my ruling desires?
- What must I have right now in order for life to be good?
- What do I think I need? Or what do I want?
- What exactly is it that I am willing to break relationship with you for if I do not get it?
- What must be in my life in order for me to be satisfied?
What is the principle of inescapable influence?
Whatever rules the heart exercises inescapable influence over the person’s life and behavior.
What is the principle of change?
As a person moves closer to God through His love – which includes both mercy and truth and is expressed through His word and through his Holy Spirit – he will change in the areas of thoughts, emotions, and actions.
