Final Flashcards
Homogeneous
Composed of parts of elements that are all the same and will blend uniformly.
Heterogeneous
Composed of different substances or substances in different phase, doesn’t blend uniformly.
Physical Change
The molecules inside an object stays the same even after the change, it’s state doesn’t effects it’s chemical properties.
Pure Substance
A substance that cannot be separated by physical means, contains only one element and compound.
Proton
The particle inside the nucleus with a positive charge.
Neutron
This particle inside the nucleus with a neutral charge.
Electron
The particle surrounds the nucleus in orbits with a negative charge.
Atom
The atom is the smallest particle of an element that stills has the properties of an element.
Electron Cloud
Where electrons are most likely found, located outside the nucleus
Nucleus
Small, positively charge of center atom contain protons and neutron.
Compound
2 or more different atoms combined
Conductivity
Is the property of a substance that allows it easily transfers heat and an electrical charges.
