A

Look for the 4 R’s

  1. Relevant: do the children and parents (families)of the Church need the program;
  2. Radical: focus on what is unique about your children’s ministry instead of doing something everyone else does, or trying to please everybody
  3. Reflective: the programs should reflect what the children love to do (exciting, fun, things children want to do); Real day to day situations that the children experience and how to apply what they have learned; it should also God’s unconditional love and acceptance.
  4. Relational: the program should focus on changing lives and building relationships not on tasks; and know that Jesus focused on relationships
