Installed on SW side of Abbey that which housed monks. Berward was discriminating towards women. Noli me Tangere. (Touch me not) Jesus rising out of this grave to not touch Mary Magdalene. Contrast between vergin Mary and Temptress Eve. Created by one cast.

Rose window: rose without thorns symbolizing Virgin Mary. Vaulting in transcept. Ribs doing most of the work. Windows instead of walls.

Important to all three of the Abrahamic religions. A place where Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son. Muslims believe it is where the prophet Mohammad took flight to meet the other prophets. Byzantine/Turkish ruling on the outside. Arabic inscription on the outside in gold states “God has no son”.
