Henry Clay and John C Calhoun were two War hawks that helped during the War of 1812

The impressment and attack of the Chesapeake led to the beginning of the War of 1812, During this D.C. Was burned but Dolley Madison took a painting of George Washington, At Fort McHenry, a famous battle, Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner, Battle at New Orleans took place after the peace treaty was signed Andrew Jackson becomes war hero

The Western Hemisphere was no longer able to be colonized, put in place due to many Latin American nations gaining independence from Spain at this time
Irish Potato Famine’s relationship to Immigration
Citizens from Ireland wanted to leave there because people were dying from a massive potato famine and so many migrated to America
Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s convention
The first major women’s conference referring to suffrage for women. Elizabeth Candy Stanton led this convention with Lucretia Mott who helped women’s suffrage as well

Supply how much you have of a product and the demand is how much you want there is for a certain product. The higher the demand there is for a certain material the larger supply is needed.
Number One Crop in the South in the 1800’s
Cotton because there was a high demand for textiles at the time and this is why more slaves were needed
Eli Whitney’s Cotton Gin – what it did and why that was important
It created a way to pluck the seeds from the cotton plant and distribute the cotton more efficiently. Helped the production of cotton to fasten but created a higher demand for textiles which means more cotton which means more slaves
Urban vs Rural
Urban is city and rural is country
Wilderness Road
Created in 1775- route from Kentucky from the Atlantic coast
Daniel Boone
He and 30 other skilled foresters blazed the trail that eventually became Wilderness Road. This made him along hunter(an American wilderness explorer for at least 6 months at a time)

In the mountains allowed for a path to be created that made passing through the Appalachian Mountains easier
