What is an “Apple Box”?
Apple Boxes are multipurpose platforms to raise actors, lights, the camera, or other equipment to different heights

What is a lavalier?
A lavalier is a very small microphone that is attached to an actor’s body or clothing, they are designed to be discrete and lightweight. [LS]
