What is an extreme long shot
This shot shows the subject from a very far distance, often to show a location or setting.
What is a long shot
This shot shows the full subject from head to toe, often used to show a character’s the size of the character in it’s surroundings
What is a medium long shot
This shot shows the subject from the knees up, often used for talking (dialogue) scenes or to show the subject in motion.
What is a medium shot
This shot shows the subject from the waist up, often used for talking (dialogue) scenes or to show the subject’s emotions.
What is a medium close up shot
This shot shows the subject from the shoulders up, often used for emotional or intimate scenes.

This shot shows the subject’s face, often used for emotional or important moments.
What is an extreme close up shot
This shot shows a small detail or feature of the subject, often used to create tension.
What is a two shot
This shot shows two subjects in the frame, often used for talking scenes or to show a relationship between the two characters.
What are wide shots
This shot is used to show the characters in full as well as other characters in the foreground (in front) and characters in the background (at the back). A wide-angle lens is required.

This shot shows the audience what the character is seeing. It is used to draw you into the movie
