mise-en-scene
anything that makes up the look of the shot (eg. Character, Props, Set and Lighting)
Character
hair, makeup, costume, build, body language
Props
accessories, gadgets weapons
Set
location, setting, dressing
Lighting
colours, shadows, effects
medium shot
shows half of the characters body
long shot
shows all of the character and their surroundings, helps the audience gague an understanding of where the character is
high angle
looks down on the character makes them look scared and vulnerable
low angle
looking up at the character, makes the character seem powerful and bigger
extreme long shot/ establishing shot
shows all of the setting, gives the veiwer greater context to where the scene is set
POV
lets the audience understand what the character is seing and going through
Tracking shot
moves along as the character moves forwards, tracking their movements
High key
bright andf light tones in the scene
Low key
dark and cold tones in the scene
Soft lighting
avoids shadows
