A reference to a famous person glance or events
Example: Don’t act like a Scrooge
Oxymoron
Contradictory terms appear side by side knows as a compressed paradox
Example: Great Depression , criminal justice

Irony is the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really think especially in order to be funny

When an author mentions or hints at something that’ well happen later in the story
