How do WBC respond when a pathogen infects us?
WBC engulf to kill.

What is an antigen?
every pathogen has a specific protein ‘label’ on its surface called a antigen.
What happens if a WBC sees a foreign antigen in the body?
They will start to produce antibodies to fit the specific antigen and kill them.
How does the body defend itself against pathogens getting into the blood?
The WBC make a wound quickly so no pathogens can enter.
Why is it dangerous to share needles when people inject drugs?
The virus can transfer via the body fluids in the needle.
