Plot describes the structure of a story while conflict is the dramatic struggle between two forces
Physical conflict
between a character and nature or the physical world
social conflict
between characters or between a character and their society
internal/psychological conflict
between different attitudes or beliefs in the character mind
Characterization
the methods used by the writer to create his/her character
round
complex and convincing, true to life characters, described with more detail
flat
shallow, normally not many personality traits
dynamic
undergo some type of change or development (due to something happening to them)
static
do not change in the course of the story
omniscient
narrator has the power to show the reader what is happening in the minds of all characters, as well as what they are feeling and thinking
limited omniscient
narrator shows the reader inside the mind of one characters
