What dose plot mean?
The arrangement, or sequence of events within a story.
What dose setting mean?
The time and place in which a story takes place.
What dose character mean?
The individual whose thoughts and actions make up a story the actions of the characters make make up the events of the story.
What dose protagonist mean?
The central focal finger in a work of fiction
What dose antagonist mean?
A character or force that works against the protagonist
What dose conflict mean?
An obstacle, struggle or controversy that the protagonist must resolve to overcome.
What dose character vs. character mean?
A conflict in which the protagonist has a problem with another character
What dose Character vs. nature mean?
A conflict in which the protagonist must struggle against a harsh environment or natural disaster
What dose character vs. society mean?
A conflict in which the protagonist faces a problem with a part or whole of society
What dose character vs. self mean?
A conflict in which the protagonist is at odds with an internal problem such as fear.
What dose character vs. fate mean?
A conflict in which protagonist struggles with a force that seems beyond the characters control
What dose exposition mean?
In fiction the plot normally begins with exposition. Characters are introduced and background information is provided to better understand the events of the story
What dose foreshadowing mean?
The use of clues early in a story to give hints about events that will happen later
What dose rising action mean?
A series of events and conflict involving the story’s characters that leads to the conflict.
What dose climax mean?
The Turing point of a story. It is when the conflict is the most intense, ether internal or in action.
