Monostotic vs Polystotic Fibrous Dysplasia
A
Mono:
- affects single bone
- usually in 20-30y/o, discovered later bc only affects 1 bone
- more common
- MAXILLA > MANDIBLE
Poly:
- affects multiple bones (long bones)
- females
- usually < 10y/o (bc the younger u are, bones havent develop then affect more)
- may be associated McCune Albright Syndrome

Radiographic features of Fibrous Dysplasia
A
- Expansile lesion
- Ill-defined borders
- Ground glass appearance
