Q

What makes up a good, standard command position for the Incident Commander?

A
  • stationary one, inside a command vehicle or a piece of response apparatus
  • good view of the scene and surrounding area
  • somewhat remote from the action, in front of the scene (side one)
  • should NOT interfere with apparatus movement.
  • ideally, it would also offer a vantage (view) point of two sides of the situation (generally the front and most critical side).
