Enemy Alien Registration Cards
all enemy aliens were required to register at local post offices. As enemy aliens they were required to be fingerprinted, photographed, and carry this at all times. (specifically Italian Americans had to do this)
Executive Order 9066
This order authorized the forced removal of all persons deemed a threat to national security from the West Coast to “relocation centers” further inland – resulting in the incarceration of Japanese Americans.
Executive Order 9102
It established the War Relocation Authority to implement the forced relocation of American citizens during world war 2.
Internment Camps
In the “relocation centers”, four or five families, with their sparse collections of clothing and possessions, shared tar-papered army-style barracks. Most lived in these conditions for nearly three years or more until the end of the war.

442nd Infantry
They were a segregated Japanese American unit, They are remembered today for their brave actions in World War II. Despite the odds, their actions distinguished them as the most decorated unit for its size and length of service in the history of the US military.
Executive Order 9981
President Harry S. Truman gave the executive order that abolished discrimination “on the basis of race, color, religion or national origin” in the United States Armed Forces.
Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”
The policy prohibited military personnel from discriminating against or harassing closeted homosexual or bisexual service members or applicants, while barring openly gay, lesbian, or bisexual persons from military service.
