23
Q

How should extinguishers be mounted

A

Extinguishers with a weight less than 40lbs shall be mounted with the top not more than 5ft above the floor.
Extinguishers with a weight greater than 40lbs shall be mounted with the top not more than 3½ ft above the floor.
*The clearance between the base of the extinguisher and the floor shall always be at least 4 inches.
Extinguishers should be located along an exit path, by an exit door. Signs must be installed if the extinguisher is not obviously mounted along an exit path.

24
Q

Extinguisher general inspection

A

Extinguishers should be inspected weekly. (General inspection) All extinguishers should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Check the nozzles for obstructions, check the hoses and connections for damage, and check the cylinder for damage. Verify inspection date. Check pin and tag.

25
Q

Type of system used by 800mhz radios

A

Trunked system
A vacant channel is assigned from a range of channels every time you key in.

The controller sends a digital signal to all radios monitoring that talkgroup, instructing the radios to automatically switch to the frequency indicated by the system to monitor the transmission. After the user is done speaking, the users’ radios return to monitoring the control channel for additional transmissions.

33
Q

Describe the Pump

A

Waterous, Midship, single stage pump, with 1 impeller, a pressure governor that manages pressure mode and rpm mode, powered by an air actuated spit shaft.
Rated to pump at 1500gpms from a draft
with a max rpm of 2175rpms.

The LDH intake has an external pressure relief valve and an air bleed valve.
The air bleed valve keeps your pump from losing its prime when getting a new water supply.
