Infants with risk factors for bacterial infection (genetic or congenital disorder, on oxygen/ventilator or parentetal nutrition)
Infants with abnormal WBC count
Infants with elevated inflammatory markers
Infants with abnormal urinalysis
Additional clinical features:
Underlying infection features
Irritability, poor tone, lethargy
Signs of sepsis, cardiopulmonary compromsie
Management
Stabilize
Treat underlying infection
