Give a brief introduction to liberal feminism.
Liberal feminists are concerned with human and civil rights as long as freedom of the individual. In keeping with the enlightenment tradition, they believe that all human beings should have equal rights. While other strands of feminism may disagree with this idea, liberal feminists seek to achieve these equal rights through legal reform and cultural change.

Gender - refers to culturally constructed differences between masculine and feminine roles
Give a contemporary example for female roles in different societies.
Until recently, it was rate to see female bus drivers in the UK but this is now common while in Saudi Arabia, women are forbidden to drive any kind of vehicle
What do liberal feminists believe?
changes in socialisation and culture are leading to more rational attitudes to gender.
Political action to introduce anti-discriminatory laws and policies in steadily bringing about progress.
