To be really pleased about something, extatic
Eg: congratulations on your promotion. That’s amazing. You must be over the moon
As happy as Larry
To be very happy about something
Eg: my meeting went great; I got the time off so I’m as happy as Larry
A happy camper
Indicates that you are content, really satisfied rather than extremely happy
Eg: I had no idea I would enjoy my new job so much. I’m a very happy camper
Not a happy camper
Negative form of happy camper
Eg: when the company reshuffled the organization, the team were not happy campers
Heavy heart
Extreme feeling of sadness
Eg: with a heavy heart, he spoke at his father’s funeral
Down in the dumps
To feel really sad and disappointed
Eg: they tought they were buying their dream house but another couple offered more for it. The’ve both been feeling down in the dumps all week
Pique
Verb( to pique ) : to excite or cause interest:
Eg: Labor law piqued his interest in law school.
Noun( pique) : anger or annoyance
Eg: He stormed from the room in a fit of pique.
Harness
Verb (to harness) : to put a harness on an animal or a person/to collect and control something so that it can be used effectively
Eg: He harnessed the baby into her car seat.
The dam harnesses water power (= controls and uses it) to generate electricity

Loath
Verb: to feel strong hate, dislike, or disgust for someone or something
Eg:
I loathe doing housework.
“Do you like fish?” “No, I loathe it.”
