A

When energy can escape and enter/ inputs and outputs. Matter can enter and leave the system.

Define Positive Feedback cycle

A

There is a change to the system, the changes in the system amplify initial change

Define Negative Feedback cycle

A

Change in the system, resulting effects of the change nullify/dampen the initial change. It brings the system back to dynamic equilibrium.

Since you probably don’t currently know an example, here’s one:

More co2 in atmosphere –> Global temp rise –> Plant growth increase –> Photosynthesis increased, therefore more co2 removed from atmosphere and sequestered.
