4) is encased in a soft-sided pack (e.g., courier packs, poly bags, and bubble mailers) that exceeds 18 inches along its longest side or 13 inches along its second-longest side or 5 inches in height;
5) is cylindrical, including (without limitation) mailing tubes, cans, buckets, barrels, drums, or pails;
6) is bound with metal, plastic or cloth banding, or has wheels, casters, handles, or straps (including packages where the outer surface area is loosely wrapped, or
where the contents protrude outside the surface area);
7) could become entangled in or cause damage to other packages or the FedEx sortation system.

What is the “Address Correction” surcharge?

A

Express: If the shipper provides an incomplete or incorrect recipient address. Address correction is also required if the recipient phone number is omitted for a Rural Delivery (RD) address or a Star Route Assignment (SRA) address in Alaska. If we are unable to complete delivery, we are not liable for failing to meet our delivery commitment.

Within the U.S., we also will assess this fee if the address is a P.O. box number or P.O. box ZIP code. For international shipments destined to a P.O. box address, we may assess the fee if a valid telephone, fax, or telex number is not provided for the recipient.

For FedEx International Broker Select,® the address correction fee will apply if the broker’s address is incomplete or incorrect on the air waybill or other shipping documentation. We will not be liable for
failing to meet our delivery commitment.

Ground: If the shipper provides an incomplete, incorrect, or P.O. box recipient address. The money-back guarantee does not apply to these shipments, and we are not liable for failing to complete delivery or meet our scheduled delivery time.

What is the FedEx Delivery Manager?

A

A fee is assessed to the package recipient when the recipient requests to schedule a delivery for a specific date, time, or date and time. Recipients can choose from the following delivery options:

  • On a specific date (delivery on a specific business day within 7 calendar days after the original scheduled delivery date).
  • At a specified time (delivery between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. by the original scheduled delivery date).
  • On a specific date at a specified time (delivery within a 2-hour window on a specific business day within 7 calendar days on or after the original scheduled delivery date).

In addition, a fee is assessed to the package recipient when the recipient requests to have
packages delivered somewhere other than the original residential address.

What are the charges associated with FedEx Delivery Manager when Scheduling your delivery?

A

Express and Home Delivery:

$5.55 per package to have delivery on a specific date.
$5.55 per package to have delivery at a specific time.
$11.50 per package to have delivery on a specific date and time.

If having the shipment sent to a new address <= 120 miles from the original address there is another $5.55 per package charge.

If having the shipment sent to a new address > 120 miles the charge becomes dependent on the number of days after the original scheduled delivery date.

Deliveries 1 day after the original = $33.50 per package
Deliveries 3 days after the original = $22.50 per package.

The charge if a flat $14.50 for FedEx Ground or Home Delivery.

What is the FedEx Delivery Signature Options Charge?

A

Basically, the shipper has three options different signature options that they can choose where the recipient has to sign off before the package can be delivered.

A. Indirect Signature Required. FedEx will obtain a signature in one of three ways:

  1. From someone at the delivery address; or
  2. From a neighbor, building manager, or other person at a neighboring address; or
  3. The recipient can sign a FedEx door tag or utilize FedEx Delivery Manager to authorize release of the package without anyone present. If delivery cannot be completed in these ways, FedEx may reattempt delivery.

B. Direct Signature Required. FedEx will obtain a signature from someone at the delivery address. If no one is at the address, FedEx may reattempt delivery.

C. Adult Signature Required. FedEx will obtain a signature from someone at least 21 years old (government-issued photo identification required) at the delivery address. If there is no eligible recipient at the delivery address, FedEx may reattempt delivery.
