Example: He was guilty of corruption and nepotism

Meaning: Ostentatiously costly and luxurious
Example: His opulent mansion clearly displayed the amount of fortune he had made in the past few years.

Meaning: make known (private or sensitive issue which was previously kept a secret)
Example: He hoped had she was a kind-hearted woman and would not divulge the information she obtained.

Example: The king deigned to shake a lowly maid’s hand
