  • Firstly – Stops the will of God. His commandment to Adam was to “go forward and multiply”. Barrier methods violate this instruction.
  • The Humane Vitae states that each and every sexual act should lead to the possibility of creating new life
  • Secondly – In Islam permanent methods such as a vasectomy or sterilisation go against Allah’s plan for the world . Contraception may promote promiscuity and is Zina.

  • Triple Talak - occurs when a husband pronounces three rejections at once rather than divorcing his wife once, revocably, and simply allowing the waiting period to expire without taking her back.
  • Iddah – Reconciliation period 3 months
  • Divorce is the “most hated” thing permitted by Allah
  • Women can gain a divorce by “Khul” ( divorce for compensation, a wife returns her dower or pays some other sum to her husband in order to obtain a divorce.)

  • Mother Teresa made the missionaries of charity
  • worked with the ‘poorest of the poor. ‘
  • In 1979 she received the noble
    Peace prize and donated the £192,000 prize fund to the poor in India.
    By 1986, she operated 517 missions in over 100 countries.
    Two years after she died in 1997 Pope John Paul II opened a formal process towards edification to make mother Teresa an official catholic saint.

  • Tithing is mentioned in the Bible (10%)
  • Charities operate to redistribute wealth and improve life chances
  • Money can be a wonderful servant…but a terrible master! “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36.
  • Matthew 19.24 it is Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
