Altar/ Communion table
Holiest part of the church used for communion

Musical instrument used to accompany the singing of hymns and worship.

Where the vicar or priest stands to give his sermons.
Pews
Where the congregation sit these face the altar and are often benches this symbolically show that it is part of the entrance to the Church.
Font
This is used to baptism which welcomes people into the church community it is placed near the door to symbolically show that it is part of the entrance to the church.
Stained glass windows
These have images of stories from the Bible. These help children understand the stories or people in the past who were unable to read.
Choir stalls
Where the choir singers sit the choir help to lead worship through singing.
Lectern
Readers stand here to read out passage of the bible.
Confessionals
This is only in Catholic churches this is where people go to explain their sins to the priest. The priest gives them advice and can offer them forgiveness from God.
Sermon
Is a religious or moral talk that is based of a story in the bible .
Holy Communion
Service where bread and wine is shared.
