FCTM Flashcards
What action should be taken if speeds disappear during takeoff
PM shall call our speeds.
If speeds are lost and cannot be remembered, rotate 5-10 knots before V2 which should be placed on MCP.
What is the TAC activation speed?
70kts and above
Under fire condition over the runway considerations
Consider positioning the airplane so the fire is on the downwind side
When will LNAV engage after liftoff?
50’ AGL or within 2.5NM of the active leg.
Minimum height for AP engagement after liftoff?
200’
When accelerating for flap retraction, the flaps are selected to the new position as the speed passes the current flap setting. Is maneuvering assured with this under speed condition?
Yes, at least 30° of bank are assured, and 40° once the minimum maneuvering is reached.
Rotation pitch target
Normal conditions: toward 15°
One engine: 11-12° (1.5-2° per second)
Liftoff attitude
300ER: 9°
Freighter: 9.5°
Takeoff tail strike pitch
300ER: 10°
Freighter: 12.1°
With one engine out, when will VNAV change the thrust limit to CON
With the flaps up, and airspeed at or above the flaps up maneuver speed.
With one engine out, what speed should be flown after CON thrust is selected?
FMC should command a climb at flaps up maneuver speed. If not, select FLCH and flaps up maneuver speed until clear of obstacles.
Normal rotation speed
2°-2.5° which will achieve rotation target in 4 seconds
What’s the ECON climb schedule when FMC is inop?
250kts/ VREF+80 whichever is higher below 10,000’
310kts/ 0.84M above 10,000’
Maximum rate of climb?
Flaps up+ 60 until intercepting 0.82M
