A

What I most desired.

31

A

More light in Masonry.

32

I did, by order of the Worshipful Master, with assistance of the brethren.

33
Q

On being brought to light for the second time in Masonry, what did you discover more than you had seen before?

A

One point of the compasses elevated above the square, the other being hidden, which was to teach me that, as a Fellow Craft, I had received light in Masonry but partially.

35
Q

After saluting the wardens, what did you next discover?

The Worshipful Master in the East, who ordered me to be reconducted Senior Warden in the West, who taught me how to wear my apron as a Fellow Craft.

36
Q

How should a Fellow Craft wear his apron?

A

With the flap and right corner turned up.

37
Q

After being taught how to wear your apron as a Fellow Craft, how were you disposed of?

A

I was reconducted to the Worshipful Master in the East, who presented me with the working tools of a Fellow Craft, which are the plumb, the square, and the level.

Q

How are you then disposed of?

A

I was ordered to be reconducted to the place from whence I came, there reinvested with that of which I had been divested, and informed that on my return to the Lodge, it would be necessary that I should make a regular ascent up a flight of winding stairs, consisting of three, five, and seven steps, to a place representing the middle chamber of King Solomon’s Temple, there to receive instruction relative to the wages and precious jewels of a Fellow Craft.

39
Q

Where is a Lodge of a Fellow Crafts held?

A

In a place representing the middle chamber of King Solomon’s Temple.

40
Q

On your return to the Lodge, how were you disposed of?

41
Q

What are the wages of a Fellow Craft?

A

Corn, wine, and oil; the corn of nourishment, the wine of refreshment, and the oil of joy.

42
Q

What are the precious jewels of a Fellow Craft?

A

The attentive ear, the instructive tongue, and the faithful breast; the attentive ear receives the sound from the instructive tongue, and the secrets of Free Masonry are thereby safely lodged in the repository of faithful breasts.
