Fazail Madina

Question 1

“‏ الْمَدِينَةُ حَرَمٌ، مِنْ كَذَا إِلَى كَذَا، لاَ يُقْطَعُ شَجَرُهَا، وَلاَ يُحْدَثُ فِيهَا حَدَثٌ، مَنْ أَحْدَثَ حَدَثًا فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ‏”‏‏.‏

Answer 1

1867 Madinah is Sacred from up to here, its trees should not be cut, no innovation should be created in it, whoever innovates in it upon him is the curse of Allah and the angels and all the people.

Question 2

قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمَدِينَةَ فَأَمَرَ بِبِنَاءِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ ‏ “‏ يَا بَنِي النَّجَّارِ ثَامِنُونِي ‏”‏‏.‏ فَقَالُوا لاَ نَطْلُبُ ثَمَنَهُ إِلاَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ‏.‏ فَأَمَرَ بِقُبُورِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، فَنُبِشَتْ، ثُمَّ بِالْخِرَبِ فَسُوِّيَتْ، وَبِالنَّخْلِ فَقُطِعَ، فَصَفُّوا النَّخْلَ قِبْلَةَ الْمَسْجِدِ‏.‏

1868 The nabi SAWS came to Madinah and commanded to build a masjid, so he siad: Oh Bani Najar, tell me the price. they said: We dont want its price but for Allah, so he commanded about the graves of the Mushrikeen that they were dug. Then it was leveled and the dat palm trees were cut and they were fixed in the direction of the Masjid.

Question 3

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏”‏ حُرِّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لاَبَتَىِ الْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى لِسَانِي ‏”‏‏.‏ قَالَ وَأَتَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَنِي حَارِثَةَ فَقَالَ ‏”‏ أَرَاكُمْ يَا بَنِي حَارِثَةَ قَدْ خَرَجْتُمْ مِنَ الْحَرَمِ ‏”‏‏.‏ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ، فَقَالَ ‏”‏ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ فِيهِ ‏”‏‏.‏

Answer 3

1869 That Nabi SAWS said: I have made madinah a sacred place between 2 sides by myself. He said: Nabi SAWS came to me in the tribe of Bani Haritha and so he said: I think oh Bani Harithat, you have gone out of the Haaram. Then he checked again and said “But you are in it”

Question 4

‏ “‏ أُمِرْتُ بِقَرْيَةٍ تَأْكُلُ الْقُرَى يَقُولُونَ يَثْرِبُ‏.‏ وَهْىَ الْمَدِينَةُ، تَنْفِي النَّاسَ كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِ

Answer 4

1871 I have been commanded to migrate to a town which will take over the whole city and they call it Yathrib. it is Madinah and it expells people like a furnace removes the impurities of iron.

أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ تَبُوكَ حَتَّى أَشْرَفْنَا عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ ‏ “‏ هَذِهِ طَابَةُ ‏”‏‏.

1872 We came back with Nabi SAWS from tabuk until we reached near Madinah and he said “This is Taba”

Question 6

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ لَوْ رَأَيْتُ الظِّبَاءَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ تَرْتَعُ مَا ذَعَرْتُهَا، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ مَا بَيْنَ لاَبَتَيْهَا حَرَامٌ ‏”‏‏.‏

1873 If i would see a dee in madinah i would not chase it, Rasuallah SAWS said: This is the Haraam between these two places”

Question 7

‏ “‏ إِنَّ الإِيمَانَ لَيَأْرِزُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ كَمَا تَأْرِزُ الْحَيَّةُ إِلَى جُحْرِهَا ‏”‏‏.‏

1876 Indeed the imaan will return to Madinah like a snake returns to his hole.

“‏ لاَ يَكِيدُ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ انْمَاعَ كَمَا يَنْمَاعُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ ‏”‏‏.‏

Answer 8

1877 I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, “None plots against the people of Medina but that he will be dissolved (destroyed) like the salt is dissolved in water.”

“‏ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْمَدِينَةَ رُعْبُ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ، لَهَا يَوْمَئِذٍ سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابٍ، عَلَى كُلِّ باب مَلَكَانِ ‏”

Answer 9

1879 The fear of Masiah Dajjal will not enter Medina and at that time Medina will have seven gates and there will be two angels at each gate guarding them.”

Question 10

‏ “‏ عَلَى أَنْقَابِ الْمَدِينَةِ مَلاَئِكَةٌ، لاَ يَدْخُلُهَا الطَّاعُونُ وَلاَ الدَّجَّالُ ‏”‏‏.‏

Answer 10

1880 upon the entrance of Madinah will be angels, the plague nor Ad-Dajjal will be able to enter it.”

Question 11

“‏ يَأْتِي الدَّجَّالُ ـ وَهُوَ مُحَرَّمٌ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ نِقَابَ الْمَدِينَةِ ـ بَعْضَ السِّبَاخِ الَّتِي بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَيَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ رَجُلٌ، هُوَ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ ـ أَوْ مِنْ خَيْرِ النَّاسِ ـ فَيَقُولُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ الدَّجَّالُ، الَّذِي حَدَّثَنَا عَنْكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَدِيثَهُ، فَيَقُولُ الدَّجَّالُ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قَتَلْتُ هَذَا ثُمَّ أَحْيَيْتُهُ، هَلْ تَشُكُّونَ فِي الأَمْرِ فَيَقُولُونَ لاَ‏.‏ فَيَقْتُلُهُ، ثُمَّ يُحْيِيهِ فَيَقُولُ حِينَ يُحْيِيهِ وَاللَّهِ مَا كُنْتُ قَطُّ أَشَدَّ بَصِيرَةً مِنِّي الْيَوْمَ، فَيَقُولُ الدَّجَّالُ أَقْتُلُهُ فَلاَ أُسَلَّطُ عَلَيْهِ ‏”‏‏.‏

Answer 11

1882 Dajjal will come and forbidden for him is that he enters Madinah - he will descend at one side of Mafinah and towaards him on that day will be a man, he is the best of people: or from the best of people - so they a=say: Definitly you are dajjal the one Rasuallah told us about you in his hadith. Dajjal will say: Tell me that i can kill this man and i will give him life, do you still have doubt about me? they will say: No, so he will kill them and give them life, That man will say: I did not find anyone strong in this knowledge than i found today. so Dajjal will say: I will kill him but he couldnt do it.

Question 12

‏ “‏ لَيْسَ مِنْ بَلَدٍ إِلاَّ سَيَطَؤُهُ الدَّجَّالُ، إِلاَّ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةَ، لَيْسَ لَهُ مِنْ نِقَابِهَا نَقْبٌ إِلاَّ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ صَافِّينَ، يَحْرُسُونَهَا، ثُمَّ تَرْجُفُ الْمَدِينَةُ بِأَهْلِهَا ثَلاَثَ رَجَفَاتٍ، فَيُخْرِجُ اللَّهُ كُلَّ كَافِرٍ وَمُنَافِقٍ ‏”‏‏.‏

Answer 12

1881 There is not from a city that Dajjal will not reach except Makkah and Madinah, nd there will be no entrance but the angels will be walking and guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake its people 3 times and Allah will expel every Fafir and Munafaiq

Question 13

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَبَايَعَهُ عَلَى الإِسْلاَمِ، فَجَاءَ مِنَ الْغَدِ مَحْمُومًا، فَقَالَ أَقِلْنِي، فَأَبَى ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ، فَقَالَ ‏ “‏ الْمَدِينَةُ كَالْكِيرِ، تَنْفِي خَبَثَهَا، وَيَنْصَعُ طَيِّبُهَا ‏”‏‏.‏

Answer 13

1883 A villager came to Nabi SAWS to make a pledge about islam, so he came the next day with a temperature and said: Let me leave it (Madinah). So he denied it 3 times, he said: Madinah is like a Furniss it expells its impurities just accept its pure.

Question 14

يَقُولُ لَمَّا خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى أُحُدٍ رَجَعَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَتْ فِرْقَةٌ نَقْتُلُهُمْ‏.‏ وَقَالَتْ فِرْقَةٌ لاَ نَقْتُلُهُمْ‏.‏ فَنَزَلَتْ ‏{‏فَمَا لَكُمْ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينِ فِئَتَيْنِ‏}‏ وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏”‏ إِنَّهَا تَنْفِي الرِّجَالَ كَمَا تَنْفِي النَّارُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ ‏”‏‏.‏

Answer 14

1884 The Nabi SAWS went out to Uhud some people returned from the way, so the honest sahabas said they we will kill them.and another group said they will not kill them. Allah Revealed: What is wrong with you that within the hypocrites you have 2 opinions” So Nabii SAWS said: indeed it expells people like fire expells impurities from iron.

Question 15

‏ “‏ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ضِعْفَىْ مَا جَعَلْتَ بِمَكَّةَ مِنَ الْبَرَكَةِ ‏

Answer 15

1885 Oh Allah make Medina twice the blessings You bestowed on Mecca.”

Question 16

كَانَ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى جُدُرَاتِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَوْضَعَ رَاحِلَتَهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ عَلَى دَابَّةٍ، حَرَّكَهَا مِنْ حُبِّهَا‏.‏

Answer 16

1886 Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) returned from a journey and saw the walls of Medina, he would make his ride go fast, and if he was on an animal (i.e. a horse), he would make it gallop because of his love for Medina.

Question 17

قَالَ أَرَادَ بَنُو سَلِمَةَ أَنْ يَتَحَوَّلُوا، إِلَى قُرْبِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَكَرِهَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ تُعْرَى الْمَدِينَةُ، وَقَالَ ‏ “‏ يَا بَنِي سَلِمَةَ‏.‏ أَلاَ تَحْتَسِبُونَ آثَارَكُمْ ‏”‏‏.‏ فَأَقَامُوا‏.‏

Answer 17

1887 Bani Salama intended to move near the mosque but Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) disliked to see Medina empty and said, “O the people of Bani Salama! Don’t you think that you will be rewarded for your footsteps which you take towards the mosque?” So, they stayed at their old places.

Question 18

“‏ مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَمِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَمِنْبَرِي عَلَى حَوْضِي ‏”‏‏.‏

1888 Between my house and my mimber there is a garden from the gardens of Jannah, my mimber it is exact on my house.

Question 19

قَالَتْ لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمَدِينَةَ وُعِكَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَبِلاَلٌ، فَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِذَا أَخَذَتْهُ الْحُمَّى يَقُولُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مُصَبَّحٌ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَالْمَوْتُ أَدْنَى مِنْ شِرَاكِ نَعْلِهِ وَكَانَ بِلاَلٌ إِذَا أُقْلِعَ عَنْهُ الْحُمَّى يَرْفَعُ عَقِيرَتَهُ يَقُولُ أَلاَ لَيْتَ شِعْرِي هَلْ أَبِيتَنَّ لَيْلَةً بِوَادٍ وَحَوْلِي إِذْخِرٌ وَجَلِيلُ وَهَلْ أَرِدَنْ يَوْمًا مِيَاهَ مَجَنَّةٍ وَهَلْ يَبْدُوَنْ لِي شَامَةٌ وَطَفِيلُ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْ شَيْبَةَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ، وَعُتْبَةَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ، وَأُمَيَّةَ بْنَ خَلَفٍ، كَمَا أَخْرَجُونَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا إِلَى أَرْضِ الْوَبَاءِ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ اللَّهُمَّ حَبِّبْ إِلَيْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ كَحُبِّنَا مَكَّةَ أَوْ أَشَدَّ، اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي صَاعِنَا، وَفِي مُدِّنَا، وَصَحِّحْهَا لَنَا وَانْقُلْ حُمَّاهَا إِلَى الْجُحْفَةِ ‏”‏‏.‏ قَالَتْ وَقَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ، وَهْىَ أَوْبَأُ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ‏.‏ قَالَتْ فَكَانَ بُطْحَانُ يَجْرِي نَجْلاً‏.‏ تَعْنِي مَاءً آجِنًا‏.‏

Answer 19

1889 When Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) reached Medina, Abu Bakr and Bilal became ill. When Abu Bakr’s fever got worse, he would recite (this poetic verse): “Everybody is staying alive with his People, yet Death is nearer to him than His shoe laces.” And Bilal, when his fever deserted him, would recite: “Would that I could stay overnight in A valley wherein I would be Surrounded by Idhkhir and Jalil (kinds of goodsmelling grass). Would that one day I could Drink the water of the Majanna, and Would that (The two mountains) Shama and Tafil would appear to me!” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “O Allah! Curse Shaiba bin Rabia and Utba bin Rabi`a and Umaiya bin Khalaf as they turned us out of our land to the land of epidemics.” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) then said, “O Allah! Make us love Medina as we love Mecca or even more than that. O Allah! Give blessings in our Sa and our Mudd (measures symbolizing food) and make the climate of Medina suitable for us, and divert its fever towards Aljuhfa.” Aisha added: When we reached Medina, it was the most unhealthy of Allah’s lands, and the valley of Bathan (the valley of Medina) used to flow with impure colored water.

Question 20

قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي شَهَادَةً فِي سَبِيلِكَ، وَاجْعَلْ مَوْتِي فِي بَلَدِ رَسُولِكَ
