Act 1 prologue- implies that their love although it is written from the stars, their fate is doomed and hints at Romeo and Juliet committing suicide

Act 1 scene 4- Romeo foreshadows his own death being early and also senses that something is wrong

Act 1 scene 5- After Romeo kisses Juliet at the party, he fears that things will take a turn for the worse from there on
‘so I fear;the more is my unrest’
Act 2 scene 2- Romeo foreshadows his death which will be the result of the ‘ancient grudge’
‘My life were better ended by their hate’
Act 3 scene 1- Romeo discreetly references the prologue indicating that he and Juliet are fated to die
he sees himself as a subject of fate
‘O, I am fortune’s fool!’
Act 5 scene 1- When Romeo learns of Juliet’s death, he declares that he opposes their fate and his suicide leads to Juliet’s suicide fulfilling their fate from the start
‘Then I defy you, stars’
Act 1 scene 5 - After Romeo and Juliet meet, Juliet doesn’t know he’s Romeo and she wonders whether he is married
‘If he be married- My grave is to be like my wedding bed’
