plastic fibres are polluting the ocean, a big waste of water, toxic dyes and the carbon that is emitted into the air from the transportation.
what are the social impacts of fast fashion?
people in LIC working in dangerous conditions, people feel as though they need to get the cloths that are in fashion and can go into dept. and people living near rivers that are polluted by dyes. people in LIC have more job opportunities.
what are the causes of the rana plaza disaster?
the building was not built properly due to not having enough money.
how production and consumption in the fashion industry can be improved?
some places recycle old cloths to make new ones, getting second hand cloths, using recycled plastics to make new cloths.
what are examples of sustainable brands?
Fjallraven, patagonia, veja, polarn, house of sunny, ROKA and ruby moon.
what has ruby moon done to be more sustainable?
ruby moon manufactures in local areas to reduce transportations and they use waste reducing printing.
benefits of the fast fashion industry?
cheap clothing, more profits for companies and people in LIC have more job opportunities.
what is bad about fast fashion?
pollution waste and unsafe working conditions and low pay for people in LIC country’s.
