135.4 PILOT OPERATION LIMITATIONS
If SIC has <100 hrs as SIC in make, model, and type, and PIC is not a check pilot, then PIC must make all t/o and landings when:
- landing at dest airport when DAAP is req (135.385)
- Vis is <3/4
- RVR is = 4000’
- Rwy has water, snow, slush, ice or may adversely affect a/c performance
- breaking action is less than GOOD
- x/wind is > 15kts
- wind shear is reported in vicinity
- any conditions PIC determines it prudent to exercise PIC authority
135.19 EMERGENCY OPERATIONS
- In emer involving safety of persons/property, cert holder may deviate from rules relating to a/c, equip, wx mins to extent req to meet emer
- PIC may deviate from rules to meet EMER. - Each person who deviates from rules in EMER, shall w/in 10 days (excluding Sat, Sun, and fed holidays) after deviation send complete report of a/c op involved w/ description of deviation and reason for it to FSDO
135.21 MANUAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must keep manual of cert holders procedures acceptable to administrator (GOM)

- all bags must be stowed in approved baggage stowage, belted, or secured so it doesn’t move
- cannot obstruct exits, aisle, “SEAT BELT” and “NO SMOKING” sign
135.89 PILOT REQUIREMENTS: USE OF OXYGEN

135.93 AUTO PILOT: MINIMUM ALTITUDES FOR USE
- except for approaches, no person may use AP <500’ AGL or less than twice the alt loss for malfunction of AP
- for other than ILS, no lower than 50’ below MDA
- for ILS, when wx is less than basic VFR (91.155), no lower than 50’ AGL
135.99 COMPOSITION OF FLIGHT CREW
- no less than min req flt crew specified in AFM
- must have SIC if pax seats 10+, excluding any pilot seat

135.157 OXYGEN EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
UNPRESSURIZED
- +10k - 15k MSL, OXY to at least 10% occupants (other than pilots), +30 min
- +15k, OXY to each occupant all time (other than pilot)
PRESSURIZED
- +25k, at least 10 min supply, each occupant (other than pilot) for use when descent necessary due to loss of pressurization
- unless enough OXY to comply w/ unpressurized req, whenever CPA >10k MSL and if cabin pressurization fails, comply w/ 135.89 (unpressurized) or to provide 2 hr supply to each pilot, whichever greater
- +10k - 15k MSL, at least 10% occupants (not pilots) +30 min
- +15k MSL, OXY to each occupant (not pilot) for 1 hr, unless a/c can descend to 15k MSL w/in 4 min, then only 30 min supply needed
135.179 INOPERATIVE INSTRUMENTS AND EQUIPMENT
- MEL
135.185 EMPTY WT AND CG: CURRENCY REQUIREMENTS
- BEW and CG calculated from values established by actual weighing of a/c w/in proceeding 36 months
135.217 IFR: TAKEOFF MINIMUMS
- cannot t/o if wx mins at/above t/o mins but below approach mins unless alternate airport w/in 1 hr flt time (norm cruise speed, still air)
135.219 IFR: DESTINATION AIRPORT WEATHER MINS
- cannot t/o or depart, unless latest w/ reports/forecasts indicate wx conditions at ETA will be at/above IFR mins
135.221 IFR: ALTERNATE AIRPORT WX MINS
- cannot designate an alternate airport unless wx reports/forecasts indicate wx conditions will be at/above authorized alternate airport landing mins at ETA
135.223 IFR: ALTERNATE AIRPORT REQUIREMENTS
- enough fuel to fly to first point of intended landing, then to alternate, then 45 min at norm cruise
- 1 hr before/after ETA, wx report/forecast indicates, cigs at least 1500’ above lowest circling MDA, if circ not authorized, cigs at least 1500’ above lowest min or, 2000’ above airport elevation (whichever higher)
- Vis forecast at least 3 miles or, 2 miles more than lowest applicable Vis (whichever greater)
135.225 IFR: TAKEOFF, APPROACH, LANDING MINS
- cannot begin inst approach unless dest airport has wx reporting and latest wx report is at/above mins
- may begin approach to airport w/out reporting wx if alt has wx and current report is at/above mins
- may continue app if beyond FAF and wx report goes below mins
- high min PIC: PIC w/o 100 hrs PIC in type a/c must increase MDA/DH and Vis by 100’ and 1/2 mile
- IFR t/o, app, landing at military/foreign airport, cannot t/o IFR if Vis <1 SM, cannot make an approach if Vis is < 1/2 mile
135.227 ICING CONDITIONS: OPERATING LIMITATIONS
- cannot t/o w/ frost, ice, snow adhering to windshield, stab/control surface, power plant, a/s, alt, rate of climb, flt attitude inst sys, or wing, t/o may be made w/ frost under wing tanks if authorized
- pre t/o contanimation check w/in 5 min prior to t/o
- must have de-ice/anti-icing to fly into known moderate ice
- cannot fly into known sever icing
135.243 PIC QUALIFICATIONS
- must have ATP to fly as PIC in turbine multi
135.244 OPERATING EXPERIENCE
- IOE turbine multi, 25 hrs (PIC)
- must fly w/ check pilot
- hrs may be reduced to not less than 50% of hrs required by substituting 1 additional t/o and landing for each hr of flt
135.267 FLIGHT TIME LIMITATIONS AND REST REQUIREMENTS: UNSCHEDULED ONE AND 2 PILOT CREWS
- 500 hrs in any calendar quarter
- 800 hrs in any 2 consecutive calendar quarter
- 1400 hrs in any calendar year
- w/in 24 hrs, 8 hrs flt time single pilot, 10 hrs 2/more pilots
- 14 hr duty, 10 hr rest w/in 24 hrs
- if flt time limit exceeded by factors beyond control, must have rest of:
- 11 hrs, if exceeded by <30 min
- 12 hrs, if exceeded by >30 but <60 min
- 16 hrs, if exceeded by >60 min
- 13 rest periods of at least 24 hrs each calendar quarter
135.293 INITAL AND RECURRENT PILOT TESTING REQUIREMENTS
- every 12 cal months, must pass written/oral test given by administrator or check pilot
- every 12 cal months, must pass competency test given by administrato or check pilot
- IPC required by 135.297 may be substituted for competency check
135.297 PIC: IPC REQUIREMETS
- every 6 cal months, to serve as PIC, must pass IPC given by administrator or check pilot
- for single pilot ops, must show proficiency w/ and w/o using AP, only required every 12 cal months
135.299 PIC: LINE CHECK: ROUTES AND AIRPORTS
- to serve as PIC, must complete a line check in 1 of the types the pilot is to fly every 12 cal months
135.301 CREWMEMBER: TESTS AND CHECK, GRACE PROVISIONS, TRAINING TO ACCEPTED STANDARDS
- if crewmember completes test/check in the month before/after month due, crewmember is considered to have completed it w/in required month
- if pilot being checked fails any required maneuvers, person giving check may suspend check to retrain pilot then resume check
