Co-Parenting family

Parents are not together but work together to look after the child
Adv - Men and women with the child, primary socialisation
Disadv - Could be single parents - not married, not all family members live in the same building
Lone parenting family
Single parent looking after the child
Adv - Primary socialisation as parents can still teach them
Disadv - Not two parents providing for the children/eachother, Could be on benefits, Not the heterosexual family
LAT Family
Couples live seperatly
Adv - Still in relationship
Disadv - Not living with eachother
Same sex family
Same sex family can adopt
Adv - Sexual attractions and stable satisfaction, Family providing for eachother, Primary socialisation for kids
Disadv - Not able to reproduce since it is not heterosexual
Friends living together
Univeristy, flat sharing
Adv - Living together, economically together
Dis - No children, no primary socialisation
