Only 1 parent looking after children.
Represents 25% of all families.
Reconstituted Family
Family made up from previous relationships.
Includes step parents and children.
11% of all children live in this family type.
Living Alone
12% of people living in their own.
Individualism rising could be a factor.
Co-parenting
Children cared for by both parents separately for similar amount of time.
LAT
Living Apart Together
Cohabitation
Living together but not marrying.
Can be linked to decline in marriage and rise of secularisation.
