Requisites of Marital Cohabitation

A
  1. The contracting parties must have lived together as husband and wife for at least five years before the marriage they are entering into.
  2. No legal impediment of any kind must exist between them. For example, they must not be first cousins, or stepbrother and stepsister.
  3. Requirements (a), (b) and (c) must be stated in an affidavit before any person authorized by law to administer oaths.
  4. The necessary affidavit of the person solemnizing the marriage.
