Little or no control over the child’s behaviors and consulting the child when making decisions
Democratic or authoritative
Setting rules and explaining the reasons for the rules and negatively reinforcing deviations from the rule
Passive
Uninvolved or indifferent and emotionally removed
What’s the difference between dictatorial and democratic
The child would never be aloud to watch tv on school nights vs the child can watch tv for 1 hour if they finish all hw and chores
Family systems theory
Views the family as a single machine where if one part of the machine is effected, all parts are and that too much change or to little change can lead to dysfunction
