We engage in an argument when we explore new ideas
Claim of fact
Assert that something is true or not

Argues that something is good or bad, right or wrong

A statement that argues for a change in policy or action to solve a problem

Most weak arguments occurs in how the reasoning connects the claim to evidence

Occurs when a speaker skips to a new and irrelevant topic in order to avoid discussion
