What were some of the contributions of the Roman Empire and how they influence modern day life?
They made aqueducts, domes, arches, roads, and highways which we all use in present day America.
What were the factors leading to the fall of the Roman Empire?
Political corruption, excessive military spending, rise in Christianity, unemployment, urban decay, inferior technology, inflation, declines in morals and values, environmental and public health problems, and barbarian invasions.
Describe key geographical features of the Roman Empire and how they grew so large.
Rome was located in between the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea and it made it hard for attackers to make the journey. Rome also had a large and strong army that kept conquering other lands.
What were the problems that led to the split of the empire.
Diocletian split the empire because it was too large to govern so emperor Constantine moved Rome’s capital to Constantinople.
