Why would the Homestead Act be a more convincing reason for Westward expansion than “Manifest Destiny”?
It provided a more of a means of immigration than manifest destiny and the cost of purchasing land was sorted before movement westward so improved economic position faster encouraging more to move westward
What did the Homestead Act 1863 not provide?
It did not provide travellers with transport to get westward expansion at a fast rate
