Extreme long shot
A person/object is shown very small in his sourrounding area
Long shot
You can see the movements from the person without changing the camera persperctive
Medium long shot/ full shot
You can see the full person and a little background
Medium shot
You can see the upper half of a persons body
Close up
You have the full view of an objekt or the person‘s face
Detail shot /extreme close up
Is often used to Shows only the part of the face so you can see the feeling wich this person had
In focus
The person is clearly descernible
Out of focus
The image is unclear, burred ( unscharf)
( high angle) Over had shot
The persons you can see looks smaller and appear ( treten auf) more vulnerable
Below-angle shot
The person you can see looks more dominat menancing( bedrohlich) intimidating ( furchteinflößend )
Zooming in , out
Camera lens goes closer to an object or moves away
Tilting the camera moves up or down so the image ist not straight ( gerade)
Panning
The camera moves from the left to the right side ( to follow persons movements )
Aerial shot
( bird i-view ) is used to provide ( ermöglichen,bereitstellen ) the viewers, spectators un orientation, overview about the area the scene take place.
Point of view shot
The viewers see the world from the point of view from one of the character in the movie
So they can better put themself in the characters feelings.
Reactionshot
This is a shot wich shows a persons reactions to an action or statement before the camera goes back to the action
Cut/straight cut
Sudden ( plötzlich ) ending of a scene and beginning of the following scene
Fade in/out
Transition between two shots/scenes
One scene fade in the other scene ( fade = einblenden )
( Often used when a person has been dreaming or was unconscious( uncanschis )
Flashback
To show a characters point of view or a scene from the past in a neutral way ( auspr. Newtral)
Lighting
Intentional ( beabsichtigt) use of light to create an atmosphere
Fully lit , partly lit
Costume
( kleidung ,accesories ) for information about the persons
Producer
Starts the filmproject
Director
Directs and instructs the actors and the camera team
Set
Location
Sound effects , music
Creates un certain ( certan) bestimmte atmosphere
Pace
Speed or rate of a movie scene
(A fast pace or a slow pace )
Suspense
Spannung
For example let the spectators guessing how the scene will end ( vermuten )
