What happens in act 1 scene 1 ?
The gang of three are complaining to there tutor about holiday studying but are excited for the holiday.
Martins parents have a deep conversation about Martin with narrative Martin adding extra info.
What are the main things that happen in act 1 scene 2?
The street voice talk about belonging and gangs.
The gang of the three get Natalie from her house without her dad seeing. They then discuss what they should now and Natalie suggest going to a club called the basement.
What happens in act 1 scene 3?
2 nurses discuss martins burns and then martins parents enter and ask how he is. Narrative Martin ending with a Martin- sequel statement.
What happens in act 1 scene 4?
The street voices discuss the fair ground and reiterate the idea of a sense of belonging.
The gang of three discuss playing a prank on the police officer about an alleged gun man. Natalie leaves to go find her friends and Martin gets in trouble with policeman for wasting his time.
What happen in act 1 scene 5?
Dr Owens talks to Martin and his parents about his face and the possibility for a skin graft.
Martin then ask about mark to find out he is fine .
What happens in act 1 scene 6?
The street voices talk about time and clubs.
Natalie give the boys general info on the club and dancing. Matthew is mocked by mark because Matthew wouldn’t be able to afford to enter and get a drink so mark suggests they could dress him as a girl. Natalie offers to buy him a drink. The gang of the 3 then make 3 sets of rhyming triplets.
What happens in act 1 scene 7?
Narrative martins talks about his face and what it felt like.
The nurse begins with pleasantries but is demanded by Martin to bring him a mirror.
What happens in act 1 scene8?
Matthew and Natalie mock mark and Martin for there racism and stupidity.
Natalie and marcia have a general chat that ends with the topic of belonging and relationships. Marcia then circulates.
The street voice and the group alternate lines about dancing and the clubs atmosphere.
What happens in act 1 scene 9?
Dr Owens talks to Martin about his necessity to see himself. Martin then gives a disturbing description of his face.
What happened in act one scene 10?
Narrative Martin and the street voice talk about how Martin danced by using his gymnastics training. Martin ends up very cocky.
What happens in act 1 scene 11?
The gang of three and Natalie crowd around and inform Martin on what’s happened , Mathew and Natalie make the conversation very awkward! They all leave but Martin mum an dad enter. They discuss family, weather and school ,Martin finds out that Pete died! His parents leave. Dr Owens enters to prep Martin about the skin graft!
What happens in act 1 scene 12?
Martin meet Antony ,they have a general conversation in the ward. Antony talks to the street voices as they were patients or staff at the hospital. Antony and Martin enter his room and discuss Natalie. Antony leaves reassuring thoughts with Martin.
What happens in act 1 scene 13?
The officer from the fair enter and try’s to interrogate Martin about what happened after the club. Mum and dad try and make him leave but continues. Martins and the officer the remember each other. Martin remembers what happens and tells the police officer.
What happen to Martin after he left the club?
1.natalie left and he almost got into a fight with a drug dealer.
2.the street voices describe a van coming towards the boys.
3.apache and Pete offer them a ride Mathew declines the others get in.
4.apache takes the passengers for a joyride in a stolen car.
5. The police give chase then they crash
6. Martin remembers the crash and what happened after.
The policeman leaves.
What 3 things happen in the prologue of the story?
