Why might there be three different populations for a megacity?

A

Q

What is the Heat Island Effect?

A

Urban areas trap heat because of the hard surfaces which are darker and therefore absorb more heat. The heat contained is slowly released during the night only to repeat the process during the day, making them permanently warmer than countryside.
