A

Lack of membrane transporters for carnitine

high cytoplasmic carnitine, because carnitine can’t get into the cell

Treatment: Add excess Carnitine

CAT2 deficiency

can’t get carnitine off of the Acetyl-CoA so there is no free carnitine
