parasitism
A
- type of feeding relationship where one organism (parasite) benefits by feeding off a host organism, causing harm to the host but not instantly killing it.
- e.g. lice (live on the outside of hosts), tapeworms (live inside hosts, in small intestines) and elephantiasis (roundworms).

mutualism
A
- relationship between individuals of different species where all species benefit.
- e.g. examples include coral polyp/algae and clownfish/sea anemone.

- flowers depend on insects for pollination.
- flower benefits by being able to reproduce
- insect benefits by collecting pollen from the plant which is used as food.
