A

The eye is already soaked in a water-soluble gel and covered with a swab soaked in sterile saline. The hair around the eye should be clipped if advised by the veterinarian. The eye is then lavaged with dilute Povidone Iodine. The surrounding skin is prepped with dilute Povidone Iodine, contact time is allowed and then the eye is rinsed with sterile saline.
