Eye histology Flashcards
Layers of eye ?
1- external: sclera , cornea & limbus
2- mid layer: uvea ,( coroid, ciliar object, iris
3- internal layer : retina
T. Fibrosa?
External layer
T. Vasculosa ?
Mid layer
T. nervosa
Retina
Eye sections ?
1 -front room: cornea, iris lens
2- back room: iris, ciliar object , zondler ligament , lens aqueous humour)
3- corpus vitreum: lens, zonular ligament , retina (vitrous humour )
Develops from surface ectoderm ?
Lens, cornea epithelium , conjunctiva epithelium, tear glands
Originates from neural ectoderm
Retina, iris , ciliar object epithelium , pupil muscles , optic nerve
Originates from mesoderm?
Sclera, iris , ciliar object , cornea stroma , coroid optic nerve , vitrous object orbita
T.fibrosa ?
Sclera & cornea
Sclera?
3 layers
No vein
5/6 of eye
Sclera layers?
1- episclera
2- substantia propria (tennon capsule)
3- supracoroidal lamina (connects coroid)
Cornea layers?
1-cornea epithelium 2-bowman membran 3- stroma or substantia propria 4- descement membran 5- cornea endothel
Cornea layer 1,2?
1- cornea epithel: multilayer non-cheratinised epithel , many free nerve ending
2- bowman membran: bacterial invasion
Cornea layer 3,4, 5?
3- stroma (sp): thin collagen , no vein , few lymphosyte
4- descement membran
5- cornea endothel (limited regeneration)
Limbus ? Duct ?
Corneoscleral connection
Schlemn duct
Aqueous humour generated by?
Corpus ciliare;pars plicesta
Tunica vasculosa ?
uvea
1 -coroid
2- corpus ciliare
3-iris
