10-21 mmHG
4
Q
pathophysiology of acute angle-closure galucoma
A
- Iris bulges forward and seals off the trabecular meshwork from the anterior chamber, preventing the aqueous humour from being able to drain away → continual build up of pressure in the eye
- Pressure builds up particularly in the posterior chamber → pressure behind the iris and worsens the closure of the angle
5

A
red eye pain teary blurred vision/ dec visual acuity dilation of affected pupil fixed pupil size halos around lights hazy cornea
